About the Jigsaw Doctor

The Jigsaw Doctor has developed a way to accurately cut the shape of standard cardboard and wooden jigsaw puzzle pieces in using laser technology, so your new jigsaw piece will be a snug fit for that gaping hole in your prized jigsaw.

All you need to do is send him the pieces that surround the missing piece.

A copy of the picture will help if you have it, but it's not vital, although a good quality image may provide a discount

IMPORTANT: We MUST be sent the surrounding pieces. We cannot make your replacement piece from just a picture - even a photocopy, or an accurate tracing.

We require two layers of the surrounding jigsaw pieces to the one that is missing so that we can ensure an accurate fit and accurately match the colours and image. The surrounding pieces will, of course, be returned with the replacement piece.

We'll make your replacement piece(s) within 2 - 4 weeks of receipt.
Please allow for postage times either side. (Postage to and from countries outside of Europe is typically 5 to 10 days).

Laser cutterEach replacement jigsaw puzzle piece is laser cut from the same type of material as your jigsaw puzzle (e.g. cardboard, MDF or plywood).

The image on your replacement jigsaw piece is created by using either the copy of the picture you have supplied from your jigsaw puzzle box, or through a clever process of re-building the missing picture using clues from the surrounding pieces.

Believe it or not, the hardest jigsaw pieces to match are the ones that consist of one plain colour. Even more so if the colour is a very subtle shade. Blue pieces (such as sky) are particularly tricky.

Our artist at the Jigsaw Doctor will take care in matching the colours in the replacement piece(s) with the rest of the jigsaw puzzle. We believe that, once inserted into the complete puzzle, it will be very hard to spot the replacement piece(s).

The Jigsaw Doctor

We can replace both cardboard and wooden jigsaw puzzle pieces using the same materials and laser-cutting process.

It may not seem cost effective to pay for a replacement piece, but if you have a treasured jigsaw puzzle that is no longer on the market, or is costly to replace, you could find that using the Jigsaw Doctor is your best option.
